[3] 22 - Log Book Violation

Commercial Vehicle Operators must possess a logbook with the following information:

Load Origin

Load Destination

Load Contents

Name of Load Recipient

Name of Load Sender

Name of Driver's Employer

EXCEPTIONS

Commercial vehicles without cargo loads do not require load-related information; therefore they only require the name of the driver's employer.

Self-owned / self-employed ("Owner operator") drivers may claim themselves as their own employer.

Vehicles operated by public entities such as government operated bus lines are exempt from this code.

Any vehicle displaying exempt plates is exempt from this code.

Vehicles that are for-hire to provide transportation for passengers (e.g. Taxi, Uber, Lyft, etc.) are only required to provide Employer information.

Infraction Sentence: None License Points: 1 Fine: $150
