[8] 7 - Possession of an Illegal Weapon
Possession of a Class 1, 2, 3, or 4 weapon, weapon accessory, or device.
Additionally, all firearms require serial numbers to be associated and registered with the NCIC/CAD. Altering, removing, or possessing a firearm without an associated valid serial number is an offense under this code.

Exception: Class 2 weapons may be possessed/owned by a licensed gun store. Class 2 weapons may not be sold. If the gun store has a certified gun range, the weapon may be fired.

Large-caliber Projectile weapons & launchers
Class 3 weapons may be prosecuted as either a regular or federal offence, but not both.
Class 4
Incendiary Ammunition

Class 4 weapons may be prosecuted as either a regular or federal offence, but not both.
Violation of this is a Felony Class 1 Weapon Sentence: 150 Seconds
Class 2 Weapon Sentence: 300 Seconds
Class 3 & 4 Weapon Sentence: 500 Seconds
Wobbler
This offence is a wobbler charge. This means that it may be either a Federal Charge or a Regular Charge depending on the nature of the crime, as specified above.
