[7] 10 - Unlawful Practice of Medicine

The act of practicing medicine unlawfully.

For the purpose of this code, "practicing medicine" is defined as: Providing medical care, other than anecdotal advice, for the purpose of preventing, relieving, or curing disease, physical, psychological, or physiological distress or illness. Providing medical care also includes administering any controlled prescription substance to another person.

For the purpose of this code, "unlawfully [practicing medicine]" is defined as: When the person practicing medicine is not a "Medical Employee" including Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Pharmaceutical Technicians employed by a medical clinic, hospital, or emergency medical service agency, and/or medically trained police officers.
