[8] 11 - Felon in Possession of a Firearm

Any person who has been convicted of a felony under the laws of San Andreas and has possession/control of any firearm.

Felony Firearm shall be confiscated. Sentence: 600 Seconds Fine: $5000

An individual who has not been convicted of a felony under the laws of San Andreas that is found to be in possession of a firearm that is registered to a felon shall have that firearm confiscated.

Examples:

1) Trying to buy a rifle when you have a warrant for felony grand theft 2) Carrying a handgun in a car after being convicted for felony elder abuse 3) Having a shotgun after convicted for a felony offence

Defenses:

1) Momentary possession, 2) Justifiable possession, and/or 3) Illegal search and seizure.
