Mail theft is defined as the act of removing mail, packages, letters, postcards, mail bags, or parcels from any mail drop off, mailbox, mail receptacle, post office, mail carrier, or delivery worker by an unauthorized person, which is defined as someone who is not the intended recipient of a specific piece of mail or works as a postal delivery worker.
